Been playing Minecraft...again!

So recently boredom got the better of me and I finally decided to give Minecraft another try after seemingly becoming increasingly disapointed the more I played the game.
However, just thought I would show you guys some stuff from Minecraft because at this moment in time I'm planning on moving on from this game for a while and will try and complete my 14 odd PS3 games that are sat untouched on my shelf.

print screen of Tardis interior (based on first doctors, but with personal twist)

crappy picture of the Tardis

THE DOCTOR WANTS YOU TO PLAY MINECRAFT! (around 3000 blocks needed)

SEBASTIAN, Dragon Age 2 (need a hell of a lot of dirt to create this)

VDV and BALE love Minecraft!! ( this takes a VERY long time to build!!!!!)
For now this is all for Minecraft, if you are considering buying the game then I suggest that you do so only if you are prepared to put A LOT of time into it.

Farewell (finally) To A (controversial) Legend this summer?

This summer is clearly the time in which Tottenham and Robbie Keane will finally part ways.
The Irishman has fallen out of favour amongst fans since his return from Liverpool, with minor first team appearances under Harry Redknapp and has been loaned out twice within a year.

Now the purpose/reason of why I have titled this article 'A Controversial Legend' is purely due to the fact that in my few (eleven) years of actually following football and Tottenham (COYS!), Robbie Keane to me, has been a key part in our squad make up through out the years and been by far our most successful player in terms of the contribution he has made for the team in the past ten years.

Keane had been our key striker for a good six years until the arrival of Harry Redknapp and was what I would like to call as the minimum level of expectation us fans now had of  strikers playing at the club. He scored no less than fifteen goals a season and hitting twenty two and twenty three in the two seasons prior to Harry's arrival at the club. Now at the time this was great! If Keane wasn't scoring this many goals a season, our mid-table finishes would have ended even more disastrous with a possible relegation.

Now obviously we needed someone who was better than Keane and could score twenty plus goals every season alongside him to help us progress as a modern club and push for Europe. Then along came the likes of Jermaine Defoe, Fredrick Kanoute,Mido and Dimitar Berbatov who all promised to be that player complimenting Keane and suceeding in taking us higher... Only Berbatov was really good enough to do so and we sold him!( The reason why if we cant afford to lose Godric, Bale, VDV or any of our other key players)

Anyway, my point to this article is such; Robbie Keane joined our club, scored 123 goals becoming our 9th top goalscorer, won our hearts with his memorable celebration of the cart-wheel, Roley-Poley and guns, became club captain in the absense of Ledley King and set the standard in which we as fans now expect all our strikers to be(if not greater) and only due to the arrival of Crouch and Harry Redknapp's gay obsession with the lanky plank has he failed to keep his place in the side.

Yes I am well aware that he is well past his best with ten goals in thirty eight appearances for us and that NOW! is the time to move him on. But surely, as fans of this club, cant we acknowledge how he has helped the club and give him a sending off he deserves?... i think five million to Fulham would suit fine in all honesty dont you?

MINECRAFT IS AN ADDICTION!

Hello there viewer of my bloggity.
So recently I have finally been persuaded by my ever nagging friends to finally purchase the PC game of Minecraft.
For those of you reading this and thinking "well shave my back and call me an elf, he's finally hit rock bottom.." I reply to you... yes..yes I have =(
I have been playing the game for just over a week now ( when not at work, studying or taking exams) and have raked up a grand total of 1day and 56 minutes of gameplay.
And for those of you reading this and wondering what the hell it is.. well in about a sentence, it is a basic game where the world is made of squares and the possibilities are endless.. yep, just like recycling but without leaving your computer screen or actually 'helping' the environment. (i placed quotation marks on helping due to personal thoughts on recycling)

I find myself becoming more and more addicted to the game every time I play, with new ideas streaming through my train of thought. And if it wasnt for those blasted Creepers (green things that sizzle and explode-->)I would have achieved much more.

I have spent most of my gameplay hours on the multiplayer version of the game on my friends server in which was started around a year ago and in all honesty hasn't progressed very far in that year.
Now after the 'noob period' of having no idea how to play the game and just destroying my friends things for sheer amusement I have finally started to mine and create some beginner creations, such as a house and a watch tower.

Anyways I created this post purely to allow you all to know what Ive been up to over the past week or two and would also like to let you guys and girlie's know that future posts may appear purely based on my Minecraft creations.
For now they are being kept a secret but I shall allow you a clue for each of my projects..
Project 1) Soccer?
Project 2) Little Big Planet?
Project 3) A childhood game?
Project 4) A Police box? ;)

These projects wll take time, project one is already under way, but I shall not let them get in the way of posting my ever delightfuly meaningless blogs.

For now.. ADIOS!

Who's the new guy in Marble Hornets entry 41?

Ok so in the past two entries of the hit YouTube series of Marble Hornets we have seen the return of Slenderman, another creepy response from Totheark and a new figure who has a hooded jumper, helps out and follows Jay; wears what seems to be a balaclava version of this batman villain, The Scarcrow.
However this isnt the name I'm going to give the newcomer.. Maybe for now I'll refer to him as The Hooded Guy or Anon for short.

So our first known encounter of The Hooded Guy was in entry 39, where Jay was asleep in his car after waiting all day for the original main character Alex to turn up and meet with him. However, once asleep a dark figure walked behind his car. Originally I thought maybe it was Alex playing games with Jay since there is a trust issue or maybe it was the return of slenderman?

Then in entry 40 Jay arranged to meet Alex again but this time in the woods. Jay got bored of waiting and wandered off to look further and dicovered a strange old decrepit statue or tree trunk and studied it, only to turn around and find Slenderman stood a couple of feet away, the camara dropped and Jay ran.

In the latest entry we see the camara lifted up, moved around the woods and placed withing Jays car. Then The Hooded Guy walked across the front of the car, faced the camara with his frown like mask and walked off.

A few theories of who The Hooded Guy could be have popped into my head. The first being that The Hooded Guy may be Alex finally converted by Slenderman hense why he has now moved onto Jay.
2) He could be a cast member of the original filming that has been helping Alex survive and now Jay.
3) He could also be ToTheArk playing games with his subjects once more after the failure of masky.

Whoever or whatever it is i'm glad that he has arrived. Marble Hornets was beginning to drag on a bit but now hopefully the new arrival will bring back the fans that once enjoyed this series so much.

The real question for Harry Redknapp this summer?

So as I'm watching Tottenham play week in, week out. I and possibly every other supporter, have come to our own conclusions about what needs to change for further success next season.
Many blogs I have read have stated that for the club to grow and progress we need to splash the cash on a world class striker..
For me personally this is not the Tottenham way. Yes we need a "world class" striker, but doesnt everyone?

Tottenham over the years have made some transfer deals that have been damn right crazy. A couple of example's are Edgar Davids ( who was far too old and purely bought as a publicity gainer rather than his actual potential to help Totteham's cause) and Robbie Keane ( when we sold him to Liverpool he had peaked his player cell by date and after returning he is no where near the shadow of a player he once was for us)
This leads me on to the section where I moan a little more and then that should be all.
Harry Redknapp's January transfer window deals this season were disappointing to me at first with two players which only seemed to add to the squad number rather than contribute to improving the quality of football at the club. Except Steven Pienaar, who from watching him at Everton, is a player who's abilities are above average and can on his day fly down the wings with intricate skill. Hints of his potential to be a first choice replacement for Bale (when injured or suspended) has been shown with recent performances and hopefully he will be at his best after a summer to settle in at the club. But is he Champions league quality?
This was the question on the lips on many fans for every signing or rumoured target of Tottenham since they finished fourth last year.

This question should not have been our key priority in the transfer window. At least not for another few years when, whether it be Harry or a new manager, has finally built a squad full of potential and talent, with each individual contributing to the team in a unique way.
Our main priority should ALWAYS be the Barclays Premier League. Tottenham need to play every single game as if the opponants are major rivals like Arsenal. The players that are sent out wearing the mighty cockeral on their chest need to play with passion and a belief that this year, is our year.

Tottenham's squad is already packed full to the brim with talent but there are still a few weak links and a few players that I believe should not be playing for the pride of north london and filling up our 24 man squad number.
Jonathan Woodgate. A player who when fit is a solid and reliable defender. But when he is injured for more than a year between every game he plays, he has to be gotten rid of!
Robbie Keane. Once a Tottenham legend with countless displays of sublime goal scoring skill and a fan favourite with his infamous celebration. However with a loss in form and his age now beggining to show he was sold off to Liverpool where his time of even worse performances was cut short as he returned back. I honestly dont think any club will want to sign him other than possibly the new guys of the Premiership (fingers crossed)
Alan Hutton. This guy has been a constant benchwarmer since his arrival at the club with only a handful of good performances. If we can sell him this summer then maybe we can get around 4 to 5 million for him instead of maybe 2 or 3 in a years time.
David Bentley. As much as I think this guy still has the potential to become an England regular, he does not get enough gametime at Tottenham and would possibly benefit from moving elsewhere. I would prefer it if we could trade him as part of a deal instead of sell.

Now there are three players that I believe we should get rid of purely due to the fact that when I watch Tottenham, I want to be watching players that care about the club and want to help the club progress. I'm tired of reading in the paper of these three players wanting to leave the club and it really does show in their match performances.
Wilson Palacios. Only real use to the squad was back up for Huddlestone but after Sandro's recent performances and his lack of enthusiasm on and off the pitch his time is well and truly up.
Niko Kranjcar. Although a sublime talent and a member of the squad that I believe can change the course of a game with his slick skills and cheeky goals. Niko has expressed since the beginning of the season that he wants out and has only recently over the past few months been given gametime. It would be sad to see this player leave but if he leaves as part of a trade deal to bring in another top player or two then so be it.
Roman Pavlyuchenko. This guy is my personal favourite striker that Tottenham currently posses but I was also growing incredibly tired with hos constant moaning. I really don't want this guy to leave and would rather see Crouch or Defoe sold off, but with a need to shorten the quad number down to allow fresh faces he may just have to pack his bags and set off..

Now I know that Harry has said that he doesnt believe that players have to leave this summer but in order for us to progress I think we HAVE to get rid of at least Woodgate, Keane and Palacios due to only having a 24 man squad limit.
Harry has been very confusing about his transfer plans this season. Constantly changing his mind on what position needs improvement the most and who our top target needs to be. In one report I read he stated that we will not be signing anyone as the team is great the way it is.
So I have come up with a list of players that are a possibility for Tottenham to sign (not players like Messi and Torres who are worth 50 million or so)
Firstly due to the horrendous blunders of our current number one our target this summer should be a goalkeeper that can offer stiff competition between the posts and maybe even move Gomes into a bench warmer.
David De Gea. This young keeper is possibly the hottest keeper in Europe if not the world right now with Manchester United being the team that want him the most. Maybe with a tempting £10million offer and the chance for the young guy to live the London lifestyle might sway in our favour.

Ben Foster. With Birmingham possibly relegated, Englands second keeper would be a great buy for Tottenham and at a reasonably cheap price.

The second place in the Tottenham squad that needs sorting out is the right back position. Corluka is a good defender but is not always reliable and Walker who is possibly the right man for the job in a few years time after he gains some experiance. However I would feel more assured and I'm sure many fans will as well if we had a player to fit into that slot at this moment in time.

Glen Johnson. England's current right back is almost always dependable and can also play well in the attacking style of football that Tottenham love to play. If Tottenham defeat Birmingham on the final day of the season this weekend, then maybe the thought of playing in Europe might sway him away from Liverpool.

Johnson may not leave Liverpool so the next guy I would choose is Gonzalo Castro.
This German International is able to defend against the world's best and has proven on many occasions to be a fantastic prospect for the future. If Tottenham sign him it will allow Lennon to burst forward more knowing that Castro is behind him and ready to stop any counter attack that may occur.

Now there is the season long striker debate. Rumours of players like Rossi, Hulk, Berbatov and Adebayor all targets for this "Champions League" striker we are so desperate for.
There are three players which I think would help us in Europe and are great talents that wont break the bank.
Romelu Lukaku. In my eyes this player is the best young striker in Europe at this moment in time and he can only get better. Rumoured to have the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal prying to snatch this player up in the summer. I can't think of anything better than to get to this future star first. Or will he just be another Giovanni Dos Santos?

Robert Lewandowski. This player is one that I have been following for the past year and have marveled at his performances for both his club and country. This key striker would be a great asset to the squad giving the frontline a sence of depth and power. However, he has recently been transfered and may not be willing to resettle at a new club.

Eren Derdiyok.
This guy has been improving with every minute he plays on the pitch. He is widely scouted by other teams including Liverpool and Newcastle who I am sure will try and bid for this prospect of a player this summer. For a value of around £10 million or less I believe that Tottenham could just lure this kid into it's ranks.

The final striker I would possibly like to see come to White Hart Lane this summer is one that we know can already perform in the Premier League and CAN score goals.
Peter Odemwingie of West Brom. This guy is underated in my opinion and has proved he has what it takes to play in the toughest league in the world and score goals for fun. Tottenham fans have first hand proof of this when the sides recently met. Although he may not be the "world class" striker we are all praying for, he can score goals week-in-and-week-out in the Premier League and that is EXACTLY what we need!

Now to finish this rather long post off I would like to end on just one more subject that is grinding my gears slightly about Tottenham's summer transfers..

Scott Parker and Ashley Young.

With West Ham relegated I would love to have the Hammers skipper move across London and join our squad. He has been by far the best player West Ham have had since Di Canio. Every week Parker gives his all and is passionate no matter what the team he plays for. He is one of a few rare players left that play the game because he loves to and if he brought that attitude with him to Tottenham and rubbed it off onto a few of our players then us fans are surely in for a treat!

It's now or never really for Ashley Young. Tottenham have been rumoured to sign this lad for years and it's starting to get tiresome and feel like old news. Young shows alot of promise and can create as well as finish chances countless times every game he plays. How he will fit into our team I'm not sure with both Lennon and Bale as our starting wingers and with the likes of Pienaar and Bentley as back up already it may be tough for him to settle in. But if this player is going to come to Tottenham then this summer is when the move will commence.
So the question I think Harry should be asking himself is.. Do we try and raise the standards of play and introduce a few players to improve our Premier League perfomances? Or do we bring in a "world class" striker and sell off the useless players that wont help our progress in europe?
Only time will tell what Harry decides...

The Dragon Age comparison: Part 2; The Fans.

Now I can safely say that within a few months after Dragon Age: Origins release, fans across the globe formed like a swarm of fantasy loving hungry flies.
The new world created by BioWare promised RPG gamers an exciting, fresh and enjoyable new world to toy around with and experiment. The result of this led to the game winning many awards and people around the world wanting to contribute to the game in their own way, whether it be making mods, cosplay or even just telling their friends about this step up for BioWare games with a combination of Mass Effect and Baldur's Gate.

Unlike most games, the fan base did not die out but continued to grow. The game continued to sell more copies, merchandise was on high demand and the fan art was through the roof... well it was piled up in my household and the Internet.
The cosplay for this game franchise was quite epic in its quality with in my own opinion some fantastic displays!
Even the legendary women that is Felicia Day expressed openly her love for Dragon Age:Origins quoting "This is my favourite game."
To all those reading this and are thinking ' pfft. I dont care what a silly women says..' Well this is a women that has spent countless amounts of time reading, playing and talking about the fantasy genre and even hosts the sensational Internet series of The Guild.

Felicia Day was then contacted by BioWare to help create a mini web series of the ever growing Dragon Age universe. To this offer she kindly and gladly excepted and the series will be airing come Autumn time this year.

Fans across the USA and everyone who visited the 2010 Comic Con would remember the first annual BioWare brawl. This is basically where all fans were given blow up weapons and assembled into two sides and then when the war cry was given... FIGHTTTT!!!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4D6rJfcKog

Now I move onto the fans of Dragon Age 2.
The mass of Origins fans all lined up excited for the sequel which promised to be even better than its predecessor, and with all honesty the game began with expectations being met due to faster combat and the chance to meet new characters and explore outside Fereldon.

However, as fans began to play further into the game they began to revolt against the new BioWare and EA partnership ripping into the game's many rushed faults (myself included).
I'ts too early to say just yet whether Dragon Age has lost fans or gained more, but all I know for sure is the people who adored Origins and the whole creation of Dragon Age by David Gaider, and are praying that the wrongs of Dragon Age 2 will be corrected, will go on to love Dragon Age still and even find more pro's in their gaming experience after numerous playthroughs and expansions that I'm sure will spice things up in the near future.
Not only are the fans cosplay costumes more epic. But the fan art seems to have improved with mainly Hawke, Fenris and Flemmith being the hot characters at the moment. I just cant wait to see how BioWare and it's amazing fans can conjure up something to help put those fans in doubt at ease and reignite the once great burning fire of excitement amongst Dragon Age, Fantasy, BioWare and RPG fans around the world.

So for now this is all of Part Two of this section of my blog. I hope you enjoyed it and will follow me to read future additions to this section and more.

Thank You

Career choice at an early age.

So as I finish my time at school, I have been forced to prepare myself for the big scary wide world of independence and money. Well either that or go to college and save that for a few more years... tough choice (sarcasm). Now I had no idea what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I was just having fun being a teenager; playing computer games, football, messing around to get by at school everyday.
So how did I decide what I wanted to do?
Firstly I looked as far back as when I was a child to see what I wanted to be, the result was a footballer ( *facepalm* to little Shane). As good as a defender that I am, football is not a realistic career and therefore I had to look further and considered what subjects I have enjoyed/ been good at over the past few years..

When I think about what I want to do when I'm older just one thing pops into my head "A life isn't worth living if it's not remembered" and thus why people want so desperately to be famous...

Now, I enjoy History a great deal, and for some unknown reason brushed this career path aside, still not sure why.. but may take it at university or college at a later stage.
English was another subject in which I have always enjoyed since a young age and therefore am taking the subject further when I go to college. I have always wanted to write my own novel (even if it is just one and sells a hundred copies) But being an author is also not a steady career path unless your extremely good at writing and your books hit off from the ground running.
<--My favourite book series and in the genre I wish to write for.

People always say that computers are the future and due to this being the 'Age of Technology' as I like to call it, I believe they are. But only for another 50 odd years or so in my opinion, due to the ever changing and expanding things us humans seem to find on this planet.
Therefore I have applied to do I.T software development at college and if I enjoy the subject a great deal then I shall maybe continue it as a part time job or aim for a degree.
The third subject I have always been alright at is Art, and my love for comics lead me to wanting to either write or draw a comic in the near future. However, I have found that graphics is alot easier than drawing and am also looking into that prospect of a career.

Now my love for gaming means that I would rather enjoy a career in some part of that industry whether it be designer the characters or creating the various plots for new games etc. But here in England I don't think there is a company that is anywhere near like thous in the USA and therefore have ruled out that career prospect entirely..shame but I'm still having fun just playing them.

Now looking at all these subjects I enjoy/am good at, I decided that I would combine them and become a teacher. The idea of becoming a teacher appealed to me greatly because of the one thing I was looking for, "A life isn't worth living if it's not remembered" Now there is not one person who is reading this that doesn't remember their teachers from school, whether it be a bad or good reason, teachers are always remembered!

I am still unsure what subject speciality my teaching will be, but, I have chosen to be a primary school teacher of students from the age of 8-11. This allows me to teach English, Maths, Science, I.T and even History and Art included within the minor subjects.
Now when I look back at my primary school teachers there are three that stand out for me.
One, was my favourite teacher to this day; Mr.Wescombe. He was a firm yet fun teacher who always taught his lessons so that students could stay engaged and not drift off into day dream paradise, and was incharge of the school football team as well as the deputy head teacher. He is the real inspiration of the teacher I want to become.
Two, an Australian teacher called Miss.Mowatt. She was pretty ( to an nine year old) and always wore a smile, she however was not strict and based her lessons on having fun. Even when we would have to do written work it was done in a way that was not tedious for us students.
Third, My final teacher from primary school Mrs.White. A rather large lady that used to bounce around the front of the classroom teaching us all we need to know about passing our SAT's. She was a women who was seen as very strict and one to not mess around with until you spent time in her class and realised how jolly her lessons really where, if you did as you was told that is.
If I can somehow combine these three teachers characteristics in their teaching styles with my own, then that would be great for me personally
Now I know that I have a lot of work to do to get to where I want to be and over the next six years or so. It's not going to be a walk in the park that is for sure. However, when I finally become a teacher I honestly don't think there could be many better feelings and so I look forward to the day.

I cant help but feel that if you are reading this and want to choose a career for yourself then follow these few steps that I used and see if they help you?
Step one) Find subjects that you are good at/ interested in
Step two) look at the practicalities of your chosen subjects  careers
Step three) check out the college's around you and the courses in which they have for that subject
Step four) select the one in which you can fiddle with for career opportunities

I wish you all the best in your own career decisions and maybe this blog post was helpful to you. If not, then it's just more ramblings from the Awkward Teenager...

The Dragon Age comparison: Part 1; The Characters

So in this new rather nerdy section of my blog, I will be comparing the games of Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2. This post today will be my personal comparison of both sets of characters that can be used as party members. Firstly; My personal "key" Origins party members:

The first companion I will be writing about about that stood out to me is Alistair; The "new" Grey Warden as he is first introduced and soon to be King of Ferelden if the option arose and you took it. Alistair to me was the first character in Dragon Age to really make me laugh with lines such as "swooping is bad" and "That's what I'm here for. To deliver unpleasant news and witty one-liners." Which in all fairness to the character is EXACTLY why I had him in my party throughout the entire game. Alistair also was the fan-girls "hunk" as it were mainly due to him being the only heterosexual male within the first game that you could romance besides Loghain late on? The banter between Alistair and Morrigan was also bloody superb! The one quote I remember him saying that has me in stitches for ages was  "Well aside from the fact that she's a complete and utter bitch, no...I don't like her at all. Why? Do you?"

Now this would be a perfect time to move onto my first choice female romance of.. Morrigan; A witch of the wilds.--->
Morrigan came across to me as a powerful, mysterious, stubborn, cocky and rather attractive (compared to the rest of the characters) shapeshifting mage.
Not only was her banter between Alistair extremely amusing but with all party members, however her infamous line of  "And now we have a dog. And Alistair is still the stupidest member of the party." to Alistair can not go amiss in this post!

Morrigan was my first romance option in Origins, nearly every decision I made was in her favour (typical me really)
However, I am rather disturbed still, a year after the event of my first sex cut scene...purely because I was talking to Zevren the rogue elf at the party camp and he invited me back to his tent. I gladly excepted not knowing what was actually going to happen ( innocently I thought "yay! I can finally see inside these tents") but oh no.. THE ELF TOUCHED ME IN PLACES I HAVE PREVIOUSLY NEVER BEEN TOUCHED! D=
Thankfully however after coping with  the traumatising event I had just witnessed I now knew how to romance and continued with Morrigan ( keeping well clear from Zevren).

The final party member that I used was Oghren; The banished drunken dwarf.
This guy was personally the funniest guy and possibly my favourite character from Origins and I was over the moon when he came walking down that corridor in Awakening and offered to be in my party.
I cant actaully describe the hilarity of this little guy any more than showing you a few of my fave quotes:
-One of the first things he says to you is "If you've ever heard of me before, it's probably all been about how I piss ale and murder little boys who look at me wrong. And that's mostly true..."
-At the party camp Oghren (drunk as an Irishman) says "Hey, Warden! You gotta hear this one! This human walks into a tavern! Eh heh. And there's an elf there. Ah ha ha ha! And she says, Ha ha ah ah ha! She says." (Snorts) "Ah ha!" (Falls down)
-By far the best thing about Oghren was his crudeness;
  • (Snorts and laughs) "Ass Chaps!"
  • (At Lake Calenhad Docks) "Ooh, that's huge. (Giggles) I wonder how long it took to erect it. (Giggles) Get it, erect it!"
  • "Aye. I've tried twenty-seven different types of ale and learned I'm just the right height to give a human girl a good time. That doesn't make me a good man."
Now I move onto my chosen three characters from Dragon Age 2:

Firstly lets talk about Aveline; The least attractive female warrior in the entire two games and an expansion. Before I began Dragon Age 2 and before I played the demo I said to myself that I wasnt going to use this women because in the concept art for her character she looked like a manly barbarian..
However, Out of all the playable characters in Dragon Age 2, Aveline was the only one in which I actually felt drawn to in the sense of the raw emotion she displayed to me which made me like her as a character a million times more than what I expected. To me the game seems to have made this so by making Hawke and Aveline both lose someone they love in the escape from Ferelden which gives the duo a common ground in which to form a long and lasting friendship on.

Now I know that EVERYONE who has played Dragon Age 2 is "in love" with either Merrill or Fenris who are both the only elves available as playable characters. On the Dragon Age Podcast which I have listened to since episode 13 they mention how believable and in awe they are towards the character of Merrill due to her huge eyes and facial expressions.. So near the end of the game I decided to see if this was true and decided to add her to my party and complete her personal side quests.. and you know what?...they were right! Merrill is a really special character and in my next playthrough I shall try to romance her however I didn't like how she was so against her blood magic and yet still used it like all the time.
Fenris on the other hand if you read my previous post, I instantly took a dislike to after he open that damned mouth of his. Fenris does seem to however be the new Alistair in the way of being the fan-girl's number one in this game with his suave voice and mysteriousness about him..

I have already stated how I really enjoyed the character of Sebastian and how although I think his character is rather brilliant I do not however think he is anywhere near the quality of Shale the Origins downloadable party member..

Overall, Even though I did enjoy the new characters of Dragon Age 2 and learned the back-story of each character alot easier, I fell in love with the characters of Origins whether they be the same characters as who ever is reading this and has understood everything I've said I do not know but I cant help but feel disappointed with Dragon Age 2 and would have maybe accepted the game more if it was entitled something like Dragon Age: Rise of Hawk or was promoted more along the lines as more of an expansion like Awakening rather than the sequel to what is still THE SINGLE MOST enjoyable RPG experience I have ever had..

On that note I wish anyone who would like to comment with their views or own opinions to do so and I shall leave you with this..

Dragon Age 2...NERD RAGE!!!

Im currently near the end of Act two through Dragon Age 2 and am beginning to start to see why everyone is complaining about this game.
I am on my first play through as a female Hawk of the mage class and am playing every single quest that i can possibly do. Thus the 19 hours or so gameplay in just under a week..
Negative points:-
The fight scenes are so repetitive its highly frustrating, even though the combat speed has increased hugely since Origins; and the constant wave after wave of shitty enemies just takes the piss.
I also didnt understand why everyone on the Dragon Age Podcast hated Anders soooooo much? He was a great companion in Awkening and soo cute with his cat Ser Pounce Alot..until now! He is a whiney basterd that wants nothing more than to dig at my other party members and kill everyone in the chantry for no apparent reason but for shear boredom. However, due to him being the only healer I'm forced to bring him along with me, like "oh yep thats great, lets bring the prick along"
Now being a mage there are two characters who really grind my gears to the point where i wish i could slit their throats. These two characters being Fenris and Hawke's brother Carver. Carver is a spoilt brat who in the game you automatically have a rivalry with, but even after many attempts to become friends he is still a stubborn ass and therefore he has joined the Templars (kinda wish id killed him in the cave right now.. Oh sibling love!)
Fenris on the other hand when i first met him seemed pretty epic with his lyrium like vains and his great voice..then he actully joined my party and became a complete and utter douche bag with his negative comments ALL THE TIME even after helping him in his quests. I can see how people fall in love with Fenris if they dont play a mage but so far i hate his guts!

I also really hate the cheap copy and pasting of all the maps in the game, it makes nearly every quest identicle beside the odd imaginary wall blocking off parts of the level.

Now before I go onto the good points id like to complain that the downloadable content was pretty awful.. However, the bonus content you can get from the game on Facebook is pretty good and Sebastian Vael one of the downloadable party members is also one of my favourite all time characters. However, I would have prefered him to have been in the game already and maybe the character of Isabella as a downloadable content due to the hilarious and powerful Shale of the previous game. Isabella for me would have been an equally funny downloable content, where as Sebastion is not.

Good Points:-
The General gameplay for Dragon Age 2 is alot better than Origins with faster combat.
The combat has been improved massivly with the moves looking more advanced and 'realistic' and the shuffle has been replaced with a leap or a sidestep which allows the player to move around quicker.
Each and every party member has their own unique attack tree branch, leading to more interesting fights and makes you choose carefully who would be best suited for the quest you  are currently on.
The party members are also, I find, more easy to like or dislike in this game, you get a sense of real life personal opinions of a higher depth than you did with origins. You tend to role play alot more with this game.

As you can tell the cons outweigh the pro's quite a bit for this game but I cant help but play and enjoy this new experience of the Dragon Age franchise and the world in which it contains.

Overall as a huge fan of the Dragon Age franchise I like this game and would like to see maybe another two books from David Gaider, as I enjoyed the background to origins through The Stolen Throne and The Calling. Maybe the books can lead up to the third game which i really really hope BIOWARE take their time on and regain their fans respect!
I believe that they should maybe bring out ONE expansion like Awakening but for alot cheaper to make up for the poor game on BioWare's and EA's behalf...

Who knows? maybe the effect Dragon Age 2 has left us all feeling may decrease our expectation of the 3rd game so we can be blown away? Tongue

Aww im currently playing the game now whlst writing this and iv just witnessed Sandel and my Mubari Warhound having a good old barking competition... It's soooo cute to see him actually saying something other than "enchantment"
